「迅雷」是近年來在中國大陸快速崛起的新一代下載軟體，整合BT、eMule、HTTP、FTP…等下載機制，以號稱「P2SP」的新型態點對點下載模式來加快下載速度。實際測試過比較熱門的檔案大概都可以到200多K的速度（當然要看來源跟家裏頻寬），這幾乎是平常用eMule、BT很難遇到的狀況。
不過唯一缺點就是廣告太多，除了軟體版面一堆廣告之外，偶而還會跳出廣告視窗。如果上面內建的「狗狗」搜尋器，可以找到很多不錯的東西，如果你願意多看點廣告來換取下載的速度與便利性的話，「迅雷」會是個不錯的選擇。雖然如此，迅雷這軟體的也常被批評會自動偷偷上傳電腦中的檔案，或者紀錄一些使用者的隱私資訊，如果你的電腦裡面有比較重要的檔案，千萬不要裝來用唷，以免哪天重演Foxy事件。
注意！由於是P2P軟體，記得上傳頻寬要量力而為，沒設定好的話，可能會讓你家裡的電腦開網頁變慢唷。

Google Talk是全球最大網路公司Google所推出的語音聊天、文字傳訊軟體，主要功能就是跟MSN、Yahoo即時通與Skype一樣，透過網路聊天用的。目前最新版本為v1.0.0.105，繁體中文版雖然版本編號也是v1.0.0.105，不過目前功能還是跟舊版的一樣，比英文版的少了傳檔功能、其他聊天面板主題與其他小功能。
